YouTuber Dhruv Rathee gave a sharp retort to actor Akshay Kumar in response to his wish for birthday greetings for the Union Home Minister Amit Shah on social media. Rathee asked the actor along with other members of the film fraternity to protest against the political intimidation and threats that were being faced by the people in the entertainment field.

This debate started because the actor had wished the minister on his birthday on X and praised his dedication towards the nation along with wishing him good health. Rathee commented on the actor’s post regarding his stance towards the minister.

What Did Akshay Kumar Say In His Birthday Wish To Amit Shah?

Akshay Kumar shared a birthday message for Amit Shah on X, extending his wishes and invoking Lord Mahadev’s blessings for the Union Home Minister.

In his post, the actor wrote, “Janmadin ki anek shubhkamnaein @AmitShah ji. Aapne hamesha desh ko sabse aage rakha hai. Mahadev ki kripa aap par bani rahe… aapka swasthya hamesha achha rahe aur sankalp hamesha sachcha rahe. Jai Mahakal.”
In the message, Kumar praised Shah for putting the country first and wished him continued good health and strength in his commitments.

The birthday greeting prompted a response from Rathee, who challenged the actor’s message and raised concerns about the position of Bollywood celebrities amid alleged political pressure.

Dhruv Rathee Accuses Amit Shah Of Protecting Gangsters

In his reply, Rathee alleged that Amit Shah was providing protection to gangsters and held him responsible for threats to the livelihoods and safety of people in the film industry.

These were Rathee’s allegations, and his post did not provide evidence to establish them.
Addressing Kumar directly, Rathee argued that Bollywood celebrities should stand together rather than remain silent because of fears about their personal safety or careers.

Akshay, you know very well that Amit Shah is the one giving protection to these gangsters. He is directly responsible for threatening your livelihoods, your family’s safety and your fellow actors in the industry. The more you behave like slaves in front of him, the more he will treat you like trash. But the moment you unite as an industry and take a courageous stand, they will be taken aback.Luckily, you have earned enough money and fame for next 5 generations. This Gunda Raj of dictator will end soon, in a few more years. The only questions is, How will you look back upon this time? What will you tell your grandchildren? That you bowed down in the hope of an illusion of safety? Or you had the guts to show some courage? Take some inspiration from your fellow industry people like Imran Khan and Prakash Raj. He also suggested that Kumar’s success and financial security gave him the freedom to speak more openly. Rathee questioned how the actor would look back on his decisions in the future and what he would tell the next generation about this period.

In his post, Rathee wrote, “The more you behave like slaves in front of him, the more he will treat you like trash.” He urged Kumar and other actors to take what he described as a courageous stand against political pressure.

He said, “Akshay, you know very well that Amit Shah is the one giving protection to these gangsters. He is directly responsible for threatening your livelihoods, your family’s safety and your fellow actors in the industry.

The more you behave like slaves in front of him, the more he will treat you like trash. But the moment you unite as an industry and take a courageous stand, they will be taken aback.

Rathee Cites Imran Khan And Prakash Raj

Rathee also mentioned two other actors, namely Imran Khan and Prakash Raj, telling Kumar that he should get motivated by their attitude to openly discuss their problems.

According to Rathee, actors in Bollywood could be under threat when they discussed political matters. However, he believed that if all the actors agreed on how they should act and support each other, it would be harder to intimidate them.

In conclusion of his speech, Rathee expressed his wish to bring the country back to such an era when actors could work in peace.
