Vaccine-injured Canadians finally get a chance to testify in Ottawa hearing

Hundreds of Canadians have come forward ahead of the inquiry into the COVID vaccine injuries, which is scheduled to begin Sept. 8 in Ottawa.

Conservative MP Dean Allison said the hearings will include stories from vaccine-injured Canadians, as well as people who can provide context about their experiences and the Vaccine Injury Support Program. 

Among those expected to testify is Crystal, the sister of Scott Gorey, a former Parliament Hill staffer who died in July. Allison said Gorey worked as a staff member for several members of Parliament and leaves behind a wife and two young children.

Allison said Gorey died from myocarditis and had asked his sister to tell his story at the hearings.

The inquiry will also hear about the experiences of people who attempted to navigate the Vaccine Injury Support Program.

British Columbia family physician Dr. Charles Hoffe spoke ahead of the hearings about patients he identified as having suffered injuries following COVID-19 vaccination. Hoffe said he submitted 14 vaccine injury reports, all of which were rejected as coincidences, and that he stopped submitting reports afterward.

The inquiry is scheduled to run from Sept. 8 to 11 in Ottawa.
