Today, we’re looking at Canada’s continuing struggles with the economy, as a new report revealed Canadians are spending more on taxes than they do on life’s necessities.

Plus, a prominent Ottawa attorney is raising the alarm over a case involving a Canadian border intelligence whistleblower who claims he was threatened by a cartel-linked gangster and was pressured out of his job. But his case remains unsolved as an independent oversight body created by Parliament in 2024 has not yet been fully developed.

And finally, accusations are swirling around Liberal MP Shaun Chen, who pointed to injuries sustained in a car accident as the reason for his resignation from the House of Commons, while some online are questioning whether Chen was telling the truth about the injuries apparently affecting his ability to travel.
