The CDC is now tracking hundreds of salmonella cases, including dozens of hospitalizations, across 27 states. The surge is prompting Mexican-style food chain Qdoba to proactively pull jalapeño peppers from all of its restaurants “out of an abundance of caution.” It comes amid unanswered questions surrounding the cyclospora outbreak linked to lettuce.
