Nithiin began his career on a high note, delivering consecutive hits like Jayam, Dil, and Sye. Many believed he was destined to become one of Telugu cinema’s top stars. But things took a turn soon after, as he delivered over a dozen flops in a row, leading many to blockume his career was nearing its end.
Despite the rough phase, Nithiin didn’t give up. He made a strong comeback with Ishq in 2012, which became a big hit and put him back in the race.

He followed it up with a few more decent runs and scored big with A Aa in 2016, directed by Trivikram Srinivas. The film became one of the biggest hits of his career and gave him the much-needed momentum.
However, his winning streak didn’t last long. After Bheeshma (2020), which was a big success, Nithiin hasn’t managed to deliver a solid hit. Films like Check, Maestro (OTT release), Macherla Niyojakavargam, Extra – Ordinary Man, Robinhood, and now Thammudu have all flopped miserably.

Thammudu, which released with decent expectations — especially under Dil Raju’s banner — ended up as a total disappointment. In fact, some viewers even felt that Robinhood — itself a disaster — was better in comparison. This marks Nithiin’s seventh consecutive flop since Bheeshma, a streak that’s now becoming hard to ignore.
In today’s competitive industry, such a long string of failures not only hurts the actor’s standing but also affects producers financially.

Despite the loss from Thammudu, producer Dil Raju is still backing Nithiin. The duo is set to work together again in a new film titled Yellamma, directed by Balagam fame Venu Yeldandi.
With mounting pressure, Yellamma could be a make-or-break moment for Nithiin. The actor now needs a solid hit — not just to silence critics, but to regain his confidence and remain relevant in an industry that quickly moves on.
