As the weather starts to take a turn for the worse, with Christmas soon approaching, families across the UK prepare to brace for the fun, funny and sometimes gruesome Bushtucker Trials.

There are a few fan favourites rumoured to join the hit ITV series, I’m a Celebrity….Get Me Out Of Here! in the Australian jungle in November.

The former Top Gear and The Grand Tour presenter Jeremy Clarkson is thought to be taking a step back from farming to experience the creepy crawlies and trials for food stars, according to reports.

I’m a Celeb is believed to be at the top of his reality show list, following the success of his hit Amazon Prime Video series, Clarkson’s Farm, based at Diddly Squat Farm in Oxfordshire.

In 2019, he revealed on The Jonathan Ross Show that he would “never say never” to making an appearance, joking he wouldn’t turn down “a hundred thousand pounds”.

He said: “If you’re down the line and somebody said, ‘Here’s a hundred thousand pounds to go and eat some maggots,’ count me in! Yes, I’d go and do it.

“When we’re old, and in the way, you can’t say. Never say never to that.”

Other Oxfordshire celebrities rumoured to be heading into the jungle this year include Joanna Page, who reportedly lives in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire.

Insiders confirmed to The Sun that the Welsh actress, best known for her role in the hit sitcom series Gavin and Stacey, by Oxfordshire-based James Corden, has met with ITV bosses to discuss signing up this year.
