Another day of brutally hot temperatures in the West and across the South. Some schools are rearranging their schedules to keep students safe and out of the heat, with public libraries now being used as cooling centers in parts of North Carolina. Meanwhile, severe storms are expected up and down the East Coast, as the mid-Atlantic braces for possible tornadoes. NBC’s Priscilla Thompson reports and TODAY’s Al Roker tracks the forecast.
