WATCH: ABC throws a TANTRUM over ‘Free Palestine’ party as Avi Yemini beats the left at its own game

The Victorian Electoral Commission has officially confirmed me as president of the Free Palestine Party. It is now locked in, registered, and ready for the November state election.

The same left-wing activist cl*** propped up by the ABC, the ones who spent years pretending the system was sacred, now have to live with the fact that I outsmarted them. And they are melting down.

When pro-Hamas activists tried to muscle in and register the same name, they were shown the door. The name was already mine. Their application was rejected while mine was already secured. An outcome they should be familiar with by now.

This wasn’t some dodgy backroom stunt. Every box was ticked. Every legal requirement was met. Victorian Electoral Commissioner Sven Bluemmel confirmed it himself: once a party meets the criteria under the law, the Commission must register it. Intent doesn’t matter. Paperwork does.

I still made my intentions clear from the start. I wanted to use Victoria’s group voting ticket system, the same system the left has exploited for years, and turn it against them. Register a party with a name they can’t resist, then direct those votes straight to One Nation.

A few months ago I sat down with Raf Epstein on ABC Radio Melbourne and told him exactly what I was doing. He accepted it wasn’t illegal, but refused to give me any credit for exposing how easily the system could be manipulated. Now he’s back on air with the VEC, clutching his pearls about how ‘broken’ the system is, while carefully avoiding the fact that I exposed the weakness just as I had told him I would.

I even laid out the policy platform plainly that day. I want to free Palestine from Hamas. Their own slogan, turned back on them.

And now Spring Street is scrambling. Labor has already rushed the Electoral Amendment (Miscellaneous Matters) Bill 2026 through the lower house to kill off group voting tickets after I demonstrated how easily the system could be flipped. If the upper house drags its feet and the old system is still standing at the next election, the Free Palestine Party can keep directing those left-wing votes rightward.

The ABC’s outrage isn’t about principle. It’s about control, and it just lost a chunk of it. They’ll never give me credit for exposing Victoria’s political grift. They don’t have to. The facts speak for themselves.

The Free Palestine Party is registered. The left’s attempt to claim the name failed. And everyone can now see just how vulnerable the system was.

If you don’t want to be outplayed, don’t build a system designed for exploitation. Until the rules change, expect more outrage and more wins for those of us willing to fight fire with fire. That’s how you force real reform. That’s how you turn the tables.

This didn’t happen overnight. It took serious money, lawyers, months of member registration drives and constant work spreading the word. The total so far is roughly $15,000, including significant legal costs after the VEC delayed the application.

A special shout-out to Morgan Jonas, whose idea it initially was, and a m***ive shout-out to Monica Smit, who got it going and was the hardest worker behind the scenes. But most of all, thank you to every member who joined and to the public for the tremendous support. Getting here was hard. Even though we have only just registered, the party has already helped force a historic policy change.

If you’d like to help cover the legal costs of this fight, the lawyers, the registration drive and the months of work behind it, go to SaveVictoria.com and chip in what you can. Your support keeps us ready for the next round.

None of this would have been possible without you.

Free Palestine… from Hamas.
