‘RHOSLC’ star Jen Shah cries during emotional reunion with family after prison release

Jen Shah couldn’t contain her emotions as she reunited with her friends and family.

The “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” alum was pictured grinning as she was greeted with flowers and hugs from her loved ones at the Salt Lake City International Airport in Utah on Wednesday.

Shah had just landed after traveling from Texas — where she had been incarcerated at the Federal Prison Camp, Bryan — on a commercial flight.

In the photos, Shah was visibly elated and even burst into tears as people hugged, kissed and presented her with gifts ranging from flowers to balloons.

At one point, a loved one approached her with a FaceTime call from someone who could not meet her at the airport.

For her arrival outfit, Shah wore a burnt orange coat with black layers, which she paired with oversized animal-print sungl***es while styling her hair straight.

Shah’s return to Utah comes just one day after she was released from prison despite serving only half of her sentence.

A Bureau of Prisons spokesperson told us the disgraced reality star was “transferred” to “community confinement overseen by the Bureau of Prisons’ (BOP) Phoenix Residential Reentry Management (RRM) Office.”

The spokesperson explained that community confinement “means the inmate is in either home confinement or a Residential Reentry Center (RRC, or halfway house).”

However, for Shah’s “privacy, safety and security,” her specific location was not disclosed.

Despite her early release, Shah still has five years of post-release supervision, which includes drug and alcohol testing. She will also reportedly participate in an outpatient mental health program and continue to take prescribed medication.

She was picked up from prison by her husband, Sharrieff Shah, and their two sons, Sharrieff Jr., 31, and Omar, 21, according to a video obtained by ABC’s “Nightline.”

Back in 2021, Jen was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering in connection with a nationwide telemarketing scheme.

After initially standing by her innocence and pleading not guilty, she pleaded guilty to the first charge in July 2022.

Six months later, the Bravolebrity was sentenced to six and a half years behind bars and ordered to forfeit $6.5 million in ***ets and pay as much in restitution to victims — and she officially reported herself to prison in February 2023.

After getting her sentence reduced multiple times, People reported in November that Shah would be released in time for the holidays.

Her rep at the time said Shah considers the timing of her early release a “gift she doesn’t take for granted,” noting that she “will be able to reunite with her family for the holidays.”

The rep went on to share that Shah was in a “really positive” and “hopeful” mental state.

“She’s done a lot of reflecting and real growth during her time away and is genuinely not the same woman as she was before,” the rep insisted.

“Her focus is on her family and building a healthier, more grounded life.”

According to the rep, Shah “understands the seriousness of the mistakes she made and is excited to put this chapter behind her so that she can show everyone the woman she’s worked hard to become.”

As for her future on “RHOSLC,” executive producer Andy Cohen has shut down any possibility of her coming back to the franchise.
