Will Jr NTR Achieve Milestone Before Prabhas?

With sky-high anticipation across the Hindi belt and Telugu states, War 2 is set to roar into theaters with what could be one of the biggest opening days in Indian cinema history.

Industry trackers are already predicting a staggering Rs. 100+ crore net collection on Day 1 alone — a figure that could rewrite the record books.

This explosive start would mark a monumental milestone for NTR, making him the only Indian actor to deliver two Rs. 100 crore+ net opening days in the domestic market.

His first came with RRR, and War 2 now looks poised to solidify his box office supremacy across languages.

As it stands, only a handful of stars have ever crossed the Rs. 100 crore net opening day mark in India:

Prabhas (Baahubali 2)

With War 2, Hrithik Roshan is set to join this elite club for the first time — a huge achievement. He will become the first Bollywood actor to score a 100-crore net film on the first day.

Interestingly, Shah Rukh Khan, despite Jawan pulling in an impressive Rs. 75 crore net across Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, missed the 100-crore mark.

Even Prabhas — once synonymous with historic openings — fell short twice: Salaar opened at Rs. 92 crore and Kalki 2898 AD at Rs. 93 crore net.

While he’s expected to breach the barrier again soon, for now, Jr NTR could enjoy a historic solo lead as the only Indian actor with two triple-digit openers.

As the countdown to August 14 begins, all eyes are on War 2. Will it simply break records — or shatter them beyond recognition?

Or is a rude shock waiting in the form of Lokesh Kanagaraj and Rajinikanth’s Coolie releasing on the same day? Either way, the stage is set for a box office spectacle.
