Miranda Priestly, is that you?! The first official teaser for The Devil Wears Prada 2 was released on Wednesday, reuniting fans with Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep and the sleek offices of Runway magazine.
Set to Madonna’s 1990 track “Vogue,” the 51-second teaser opens zoomed in on a pair of red Valentino stilettos worn by an unseen woman, who makes her way through bustling editorial offices before eventually entering an elevator. Immediately we recognize the woman as none other than Miranda Priestly (Streep), the cutthroat editor in chief of Runway, the fictional fashion publication. Priestly is soon joined by her former ***istant Andy Sachs (Hathaway), who stands next to her.
“Miranda,” Sachs says as she enters the elevator.
“Took you long enough,” Priestly replies.
While the teaser doesn’t exactly reveal much, fans of the original film are still treated to an onscreen reunion between the two beloved characters, 20 years later.
Filming for The Devil Wears Prada 2 kicked off in the summer in New York City, where Hathaway, Streep and the sequel’s other stars, like Stanley Tucci, Emily Blunt and Simone Ashley, were seen out and about in the finest designer garments. The sequel, which was announced by distributor 20th Century Fox in late June, is set to debut in theaters on May 1, 2026.
