Shooting kills 59-year-old man in Lansing

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A 59-year-old man was shot and killed in Lansing earlier this evening, police say.

The Lansing Police Department reports that they received a call for shots fired at approximately 5:40 p.m. near the Bardaville Apartments on the north side of Lansing.

Police confirmed that a 59-year-old man was shot multiple times.

The victim was taken to UM Health-Sparrow but was later pronounced dead.

Police say that they believe the shooting was an isolated incident.

This is an ongoing investigation.
