India’s Got Latent case: Bollywood actor and influencer Rakhi Sawant has come under the radar in YouTube’s India’s Got Latent case involving Ranveer Allahbadia’s controversial remarks on the show. Maharashtra Cyber Cell has sent a summons to Rakhi Sawant, directing her to appear before them on February 27 to record her statement.

According to Maharashtra Cyber Cell IG Yashasvi Yadav, Ashish Chanchlani and Ranveer Allahabadia were called before the agency on February 24 to record their statements. Samay Raina asked for time till March 17, which Maharashtra Cyber ​​has refused to grant.

Earlier this week, the Maharashtra Cyber unit summoned Allahbadia to record his statement on February 24 concerning the obscene remarks made during the India Got Latent show.

According to Yashasvi Yadav, Inspector General, Maharashtra Cyber Cell, 42 individuals, including artists, producers, and influencers, have been summoned for questioning in connection with the matter so far.

India’s Got Latent, a roast show hosted by comedian Samay Raina, is being criticized following remarks made by podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia. Celebrities, including actor Rakhi Sawant, comic Bharti Singh, influencer Uorfi Javed, and former Roadies anchor Raghu Ram, have appeared as guests on the show.

Amidst the criticism, some voices supported Samay Raina, including fashion influencer Uorfi Javed and actor Rakhi Sawant. Rakhi recently took to her social media to encourage people to move on from the issue. In her message, she wrote, “Forgive him, yaar. It’s okay, it happens sometimes. Forgive him. I know he did wrong, but forgive him.”

In response to the backlash, formal complaints were filed against Allahbadia, social media influencer Apoorva Makhija, Raina, and the show’s organizers. Samay Raina later addressed the issue on Instagram, stating that he had removed all videos of the show from his channel and was “fully cooperating” with authorities.

He further noted that his primary goal was to entertain people.

“Everything that has been happening has been too much for me to handle. I have removed all India’s Got Latent videos from my channel. My only objective was to make people laugh and have a good time. I will fully cooperate with all agencies to ensure their inquiries are concluded fairly. Thank you,” Samay wrote on his Instagram Story.

The Maharashtra Cyber has summoned at least 50 individuals to record their statements in connection with a case registered regarding the controversy. This includes participants of the show.

On Thursday, actor and film personality Raghu Ram, who was on the judges panel of Samay Raina’s show, recorded his statement with the agency.
