Rajinikanth Alone? Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna, Nagarjuna Win

When it comes to the senior league of superstars, it is very much evident that Telugu cinema is miles ahead of Tamil Cinema. The kind of commercial aspects that our senior Hero are covering are far superior to the top of Tamil seniors.

For instance, we have Chiranjeevi, Nandamuri Balakrishna, Venkatesh and Nagarjuna, who are consistently making films. Nagarjuna might have tracked back a bit with his recent filmography, but the other three have been firing consistently.

On the other hand, we have the two senior stars in Tamil cinema, Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan. It needs to be said that only Rajinikanth is able to consistently deliver quality cinema, despite the occasional hiccups, which are of course a part of the film industry.

Kamal Haasan is unable to generate any sort of interest with his films. After having made a strong comeback with Vikram, he had been struggling to make at least attention grabbing films.

Indian 2 was a disaster opener outside the Tamil market and it later turned out to be one of the biggest loss ventures of all time in Tamil cinema. This is followed by Thug Life with Mani Ratnam, which could not even post mention worthy numbers in Telugu states.

On the other hand, we have Rajinikanth, who is at least somehow able to generate a fair bit of interest. It appears that he is the only last surviving senior superstar in Tamil cinema.

Tamil audience are having to make do with only one Senior superstar while Telugu audience have multiple options, luckily.
