Rajamouli’s Cameo in Hideo Kojima PS5 Game Death Stranding 2

In a development no one saw coming, legendary Indian filmmaker SS Rajamouli and his son SS Karthikeya have officially made their way into the highly anticipated video game Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, directed by Japanese gaming icon Hideo Kojima.

A few weeks ago, both Kojima and Karthikeya teased their virtual meeting on social media, fueling speculation about a possible collaboration.

Now, with early access granted to Digital Deluxe and Collector’s Edition users, fans have spotted something extraordinary — a Rajamouli cameo in the Death Stranding universe.

A viral in-game screenshot shows Rajamouli and Karthikeya as characters titled “The Adventurer” and “Adventurer’s Son.”

Their surprise inclusion has not only stunned fans but has also set social media on fire. One viral post summed it up: “Rajamouli’s global craze >>> Any Indian actor or actress.”

This isn’t entirely out of the blue. Back in 2022, Kojima had revealed that he had scanned Rajamouli’s likeness for an upcoming project.

That project is now confirmed to be Death Stranding 2, which launches globally on June 26, 2025, exclusively for PlayStation 5.

From directing the global blockbusters like Baahubali and RRR to now being part of one of gaming’s most ambitious titles, Rajamouli has yet again proved why he’s in a league of his own — not just in India, but on the global stage.
