(NewsNation) — NewsNation has seen a new video showing Karmelo Anthony fatally stabbing Austin Metcalf at Kuykendall Stadium in Frisco, Texas, on April 2.
Recorded from the press box across the field from where the attack occurred, Karmelo Anthony was wearing a grey hoodie, and there was no obvious physical altercation leading up to the stabbing.
According to police reports, Metcalf told Anthony he needed to move out from under their team’s tent, then Anthony grabbed his bag, reached inside and told Metcalf: “Touch me and see what happens.”
The police report states Metcalf grabbed Anthony to tell him to move. It is then that Anthony pulled out a knife, stabbing him once in the chest before running.
Metcalf, 17, died in the arms of his twin brother. As of last week, Anthony was indicted and charged with first-degree murder.
Neither side would comment to NewsNation on the video, given that it is evidence.
The video may tell prosecutors something that NewsNation did not see, but what was apparent is that things went quickly from calm to chaotic.
