Breightmet: Police update after crash on Winchester Way

Police were called to Winchester Way, Breightmet at around 8pm after the collision.
The road was partially blocked, but traffic was able to pblock safely.
An officer told The Bolton News: “There has been a crash involving two vehicles and everyone is okay. We are just waiting for recovery and are letting traffic through one side of the road.”
The road was cleared just before 9.30pm.

This is the latest crash on Winchester Way, which has previously prompted calls for action to be taken in the area, particularly near Withins Lane.
The junction between Withins Lane and Winchester Way in Breightmet saw “four crashes in one week” earlier this year according to locals.
