Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2, directed by Shankar, was released in theatres last year and ended up as a terrible disaster and a troll fest among netizens.

Indian 2 was initially planned as a single-part movie, but due to its long runtime, it was cut into two parts, with the first part, Indian 2, being released last year.

However, the release of Indian 3 was delayed for a very long time due to the underwhelming response to the first part, and some portions of Indian 3 remain to be shot.

Earlier, there was a strong buzz that Lyca Productions, who produced Indian 2, had left the Indian 3 project and that it had been shelved.

But now, there is strong speculation that the pending portions for Indian 3 are going to be shot soon, and the team is aiming to release the movie this December.

Following this buzz, some netizens on social media started trolling, stating that it seems the downfall of Kamal Haasan is not over yet, as his last two movies, Indian 2 and Thug Life, ended up as terrible disasters. They feel Indian 3 also looks like a potential disaster, so it should be shelved and not released in theatres.

Also, some trade experts responded that if Indian 3 releases as planned this December, it has to receive extremely positive responses to become a successful venture, as, because of the terrible failure of Indian 2, no one will have an interest in watching it.

However, there haven’t been any official updates on this yet, and it remains to be seen whether, as per the buzz, the shooting for the pending portions of Indian 3 resumes soon and whether it will be released in theatres this December.
