Hombale Films never fails to disappoint us and their latest announcement is proof! After giving hits like KGF and Kantara, the production house has teamed up with Kleem Productions to unveil the ‘Mahavatar Cinematic Universe.’

Yes, this new universe will have the lineup of an ambitious animated franchise, spanning over a decade. Reportedly, the series is going to chronicle the ten divine avatars of Lord Vishnu. This will start with Mahavatar Narsimha in 2025 and end with Mahavatar Kalki Part 2 in 2037.
Here’s what Hombale Films said in its statement, “At Hombale Films, we believe in storytelling that transcends time and borders,” said a spokesperson from Hombale Films. “With Mahavatar, we are proud to present a cinematic universe that brings the sacred avatars of Vishnu to life through breathtaking animation. This is more than a film series — it is our tribute to India’s spiritual legacy.”

If reports are to be believed, the Mahavatar Cinematic Universe will also be expanded into comics, immersive video games, digital storytelling, and collectible experiences.
Speaking of the first film, Mahavatar Narsimha, it will be released in 3D and in five Indian languages on July 25, 2025.
