Drug Users Will Be Thrown out of Tollywood

June 26 is International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illegal Trafficking. In Telangana, there was a star-studded event at Shilpakala Vedika, attended by CM Revanth Reddy.

Stars like Ram Charan and Vijaya Devarakonda participated in the event and spoke about the effects of drug abuse in society. Also present was TFDC chairman Dil Raju.

As Dil Raju spoke about the increase in usage of drugs in Telangana, he said if anyone is caught using drugs, they will be banished from the Telugu Film Industry (TFI).

Already, in the Malayalam industry, those taking drugs are being thrown out of the industry, said the TDFC chairman.

Soon, we will take a similar decision here. Let us pledge to make Telangana a drug-free state. If we ensure our close family and friends do not abuse drugs, we can create a drug-free society.

As our CM wishes and the (narcotics) department wishes, we want to send a message through the film industry also, said Dil Raju.
