Nithiin and Venu Sriram’s new film Thammudu is all set to hit screens this Friday. Venu Sriram who earlier directed Vakeel Saab, teams up with Nithiin for this project.
Nithiin is currently going through a rough patch in his career.

His recent films—Robin Hood, Extraordinary Man, Macherla Niyojakavargam, Rang De, and Check—all failed at the box office.
One has to go all the way back to 2020’s Bheeshma to find his last theatrical success.

In this context, producer Dil Raju made a strong statement at the trailer launch of Thammudu, calling it Nithiin’s comeback film.
He expressed full confidence that the film will be a theatrical success and promised a proper big-screen experience for the audience.

However, this isn’t the first time Dil Raju has made such claims.
His previous overconfidence with Game Changer starring Ram Charan and Family Star starring Vijay Deverakonda didn’t quite reflect in the final results. The underwhelming output of those films has made many skeptical about his predictions.
Despite that, Raju is once again exuding confidence—this time in director Venu Sriram and the technical and emotional strength of Thammudu.
He has even announced Thammudu paid premieres a night before the official release in AP select locations and Hyderabad, which is quite a bold move considering the hero Nithiin’s current form and the relatively low brand value of the director.
But if Thammudu delivers the way Dil Raju believes it will, early positive word-of-mouth could greatly boost its box office performance over the weekend.
All eyes are now on Dil Raju’s judgment. Will this gamble pay off? Or will it be another misfire? Either way, Thammudu is shaping up to be a real test for everyone involved—especially Dil Raju.
