Darshan Viral Video Sparks Intense Twitter Clash with Telugu Fans

There was a time when fans of film stars used to fight in real life — sometimes even physically. Today, those fan wars have moved to social media.

Platforms like Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram have become battlegrounds for trolling, arguments, and memes.

Recently, a fresh online clash broke out between fans of Kannada star Darshan and some Telugu users. It began after a video of Darshan visiting Chamundi Hills with his wife went viral.

In the clip, he was seen offering prayers. While many fans welcomed his return, some Telugu users began trolling him, bringing up his alleged involvement in the Renukaswamy case — a controversy that briefly landed him in jail.

This triggered a sharp reaction from Darshan’s loyal fan base. Despite the controversy, they continue to support him strongly. In response to the trolling, many hit back, claiming that no Telugu star can match their “Boss” (Darshan).

The fight escalated quickly. Soon, hashtags like #DBoss began trending, and both sides flooded Twitter with memes and insults.

This added more fuel to the fire, leading to further mocking and aggressive replies from Telugu users. What started as a simple fan post turned into a full-blown Twitter war, with both sides refusing to back down.

The video has now crossed over 2 million views, but the situation highlights a growing concern: blind fan wars — especially on sensitive issues — can turn ugly and lead to real-world tension.

Meanwhile, Darshan is gearing up for his next film titled Devil, directed by Milana Prakash. Most of the film’s talkie portions have been completed.
