According to Inspector C.H. Venkanna, the complaint was filed by Ashok Kumar Naik, a resident of Saidabad and a tribal rights activist.

He alleged that Vijay’s speech at the event contained remarks that were offensive and hurtful to Adivasi sentiments. The complaint claimed that the actor’s statements amounted to derogation of tribal identity.

However, Vijay Devarakonda already issued a statement clarifying his remarks. He said he never intended to hurt anyone or insult tribal communities and expressed regret if his words caused offense.

He emphasized he was speaking about unity among Indians and used the word “tribes” in a historical context—not referring to Scheduled Tribes. He affirmed that he sees everyone as family and believes in peace and equality.
