Luxury real estate agents Jon Grauman and Adam Rosenfeld are going out on their own.
The duo, who appeared on Netflix’s Buying Beverly Hills from 2022 to 2024, have left Mauricio Umansky‘s The Agency brokerage to launch Resident Group, a new boutique real estate company.
With more than $3 billion in career sales, Grauman and Rosenfeld — who have appeared on THR‘s Top L.A. Power Brokers list — are now partnering with Side, the premier white-label real estate brokerage platform, to scale Resident with full autonomy and next-generation support.
“The industry wasn’t designed around clients, it was built around transactions,” Rosenfeld said in a statement. “We created Resident to change that. Every part of the client experience should feel as thoughtfully considered as the homes themselves.”
Grauman also noted they didn’t leave Umansky’s company “out of frustration but “left to create something of our own. Our years at The Agency were incredibly formative, and we’re deeply grateful for the relationships and growth we experienced there. Resident represents the evolution of our vision — a place where thoughtful leadership, authentic service and meaningful client relationships are at the core. The name ‘Resident’ captures what this is truly about: the people, not just the properties.”
Lauren Grauman will serve as CEO of the venture, with Renee Pickering as COO. With a lean, specialized team and a portfolio that spans Los Angeles’s ultra-luxury market, Resident Group debuts as the No. 6 large team in the U.S. and the No. 4 large team in California in 2024, as well as the No. 2 large team in Los Angeles.
“Adam, Jon, Lauren, Renee, and their team are among the very best real estate groups in the world and we are proud to be a partner to them as they establish and develop Resident,” said Guy Gal, co-founder and CEO of Side. “We are excited to see Resident become a market leader that raises the standard across the entire real estate industry.”
