Prabhas has become a household name for pan Indian biggies. The sheer scale of action epics that he’s making are beyond ordinary. But for a change, he is taking a detour towards horror fantasy with his upcoming film Raja Saab.
The teaser of the film was released today and it promises a full blown horror fantasy that revolves around a treasure hunt kind of a story.

Sanjay Dutt is seen as the elderly treasurer while Prabhas is a funky and playful lad who is after the riches.
Add the visual and presentation level, it is completely new to see Prabhas in such a funky avatar. This is completely different from the usual serious action tone and enigmatic presence as he plays a lively and witty guy.

While we are accustomed to seeing Prabhas in an action demeanor, this new horror comedy angle is the USP of Raja Saab. It must be challenging for him as an actor also to complete this transition.
The visuals are adequate in the teaser but there’s scope for enhancement with regard to the CGI and VFX. Considering that there’s a lot of time to go for the release, there’s ample room for improvement in terms of visual effects.

The BGM is expectedly good from Thaman who is back in the groove. The final 30 seconds bit has good sound appeal.
Maruthi is evidently doing everything in his power to bring out the untapped side of Prabhas and the effort in itself is to be appreciated. This is the side of Prabhas that not many could envision and execute so Maruthi certainly is doing something out of the ordinary.
The film is now set for release on December 20 and more promotional material will start to come out soon.
