Akhanda 2 Hindi Teaser: Makers Going All Out

Nandamuri Balakrishna is all set to make a mark at the box office with Akhanda 2: Thaandavam, which is slated to hit the big screens on September 25, 2025.

The teaser, released on June 9, dropped in both Telugu and Hindi, signaling the film’s intent to cater to a pan-India audience.

While some viewers criticized the teaser for its over-the-top sequences, others were drawn in by its depiction of Hindu culture and Sanatana Dharma—a theme that has resonated with Hindi-speaking audiences in recent years.

This trend traces back to the blockbuster success of Baahubali in 2015 and was reignited by films like Kantara and Karthikeya 2, which struck a chord by tapping into spirituality and indigenous traditions.

Akhanda 2 is a sequel to Balakrishna’s 2021 hit Akhanda, once again directed by Boyapati Srinu. This time around, the makers are placing a strong focus on promotions in North India, clearly aiming to expand the film’s reach and impact.

In fact, the team has already spent 1.5 crores specifically for promoting the Hindi-dubbed teaser of Akhanda 2, with massive posters and banners being rolled out across key North Indian cities.

This marketing push reflects the confidence the makers have in the film’s box office potential beyond the Telugu market.

The first Akhanda performed well in Telugu states but didn’t connect with Hindi audiences due to its delayed release. This time, the makers seem determined to avoid that mistake and are going all out to position Akhanda 2 as Sanatana dharma pan-India film with commercial mass elements.

If all goes well and if the film turns out to be good, the film could take a double-digit opening in Hindi and potentially achieve a lifetime box office gross of 100 crores in the Hindi belt alone — a feat rarely seen for a dubbed Telugu sequel.
